IKTS will present the synthesis of material inks based on Ag, Au, Pt, Pd, Rh and Cu. Important ink specifications like particle size, viscosity, surface tension, sedimentation stability as well as electronic conductivities and adhesion of printed films will be discussed. A new millisecond functionalization technique based on a line laser system, to cure printed films on thermal sensitive substrates, will be presented.
Study of Material Science at the Technical University of Dresden - receive a PhD in engineering 2007
Dissertation at the Fraunhofer IKTS Institute (Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems) in the field of ceramic materials development and their application as corrosion protection coatings for industrial gas turbines
Scientist at the Fraunhofer IKTS in the department of Micro- and Energy Systems
Research in various printing and coating technologies like ink jet, screen printing or tape casting, where functional materials are processed to components of sensors, microelectronic devices and energy storage systems.
The Fraunhofer IKTS conducts applied research on high-performance ceramics. The institute's three sites in Dresden and Hermsdorf (Thuringia) collectively represent Europe's largest R&D institute dedicated to the study of ceramics.
As a R&D service provider, the Fraunhofer IKTS develops modern ceramic high-performance materials, customized industrial manufacturing processes and creates prototype components and systems in complete production lines from laboratory scale to pilot plant scale. Furthermore, the institute has expertise in diagnostics and testing of materials and processes.
